XR4PAIN CONFERENCE - Chronic Pain Management

In conjunction with the XR4REHAB Conference - Scaling up for impact!

Each year, approximately 20% of the adult population in Europe is affected by chronic pain. Chronic pain patients experience a dramatic decrease in their quality of life, loose their jobs and social relationships and develop a progressive fear of movement.

To improve the quality of life of chronic pain patients, VR can be a possible solution. This noninvasive and nonpharmacological approach support patients by not only distracting patients from their pain or help reduce the fear of treatment; it can also provide pain education programs to create a more substantial impact on the patients life.

The virtual environments are specifically created to provide pleasant and engaging experiences where patients navigate through rich and varied simulated (education) worlds, for example guided mediation, visiting a metropolis, swimming with dolphins or playing a game.

The XR4PAIN Conference is a symposium that aims to bring together enthousiastic minds in the field of Virtual Reality and Pain treatment to advance and promote this innovative treatment in patient care.

Follow our didactic lectures and case studies and interact with like minded colleagues and professionals, discuss best practices and share pragmatic tips for implementing VR into clinical practice.

We review the evidence supporting the efficacy of VR applications for patient care and discuss the cost-effectiveness, patient perspectives, and regulatory landscape of VR.

We are looking forward to meeting you the 30th of June, either in person or online!
